My New Year's Resolutions

Goof-proofed by my mom                               Made by Katharine

Welcome to the world of resolutions! Here you find the top ten resolutions for you. Today we will be looking at my resolutions of 2017! We will go from number 10 – the least important to number 1 – the most important. Let’s get started!

#10 Make my presentations more engaging.

I will make my presentations more engaging by adding extras (i.e. videos, music).

“Be so good they can’t ignore you.”

#9 Try more recipes.

I will try to make a new recipe every month.

“Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.”

#8 Get my work done on time.

I will try to get all my work done on time. At home I'll work on my work in the order it is due.

“Think like a proton, stay positive.”

#7 Practice my clarinet more often.

I will practice my clarinet at least 4 days a week so I can be better at playing the high notes.

“To play a wrong note is insignificant;

to play without passion is inexcusable.”

#6 Update my Weebly more often.

I will update my Weebly every Sunday with the things of the past week.

“Respect your parents. They passed school without Google.”

#5 Be more in nature.

I will try to take a walk after school to clear my head and to calm down.

“The poetry of earth is never dead.”

#4 Put away $5 every second week.

I will put away $5 every second week to save for my trip in the summer.

“Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving.”

#3 Read more new books.

Most of the time I reread books so, I would like to read new books and open new series to myself.

“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”

#2 Be able to stop when it is good enough.

I need to start stopping work when it is good enough because otherwise I will never stop “perfecting” it.

“Hard work does not necessarily guarantee success,

but no success is possible without hard work.”

#1 Get more sleep.

I will go to bed by 9:30 almost every night so I can get a good mindset in the morning.

“Sleep is the best meditation.”

This is the end of the tour. Those were my top ten resolutions for 2017. Some of these will be easy to keep and some will be more challenging. I hope I will be able to keep at least 2 of them.
