My Fundraiser

Why we should have this fundraiser

• On February 2nd, 2015, my bestfriend Cloey passed away from a monsterous disease entitled "Cystic Fibrosis."

What is Cystic Fibrosis ?

• Cystic fibrosis is a disease that changes how your body makes mucus and sweat. It affects how well your lungs, digestive system, and some other body parts work. It’s caused by a flawed gene.
• If you have cystic fibrosis, you may have mucus that’s too thick or sweat that’s too salty. If heavy mucus clogs your lungs, it’s hard to breathe. It can also block your pancreas, an organ in your belly, so you can’t digest your food as well. The disease may make you sweat away too much of the salt your body needs to work well.

The goal of my fundraiser

• The goal of my fundraiser is to make sure people are aware of how serious and dangerous cystic fibrosis can be.
• It is also to try to raise enough money to hopefully help families with a loved one battling this monster.

What the fundraiser is specifically

• To raise money for awareness of Cystic Fibrosis , we planned on having car washes , bake sales , community yard sales , selling candles , and selling t-shirts that support the cause.
