A mutation is a change in a protein during protein synthesis, causing a different phenotype than usual. Some mutations can be beneficial and have no effect at all. Examples of a mutation with a single gene are the sickle cell disease, color-blindness, and cystic fibrosis. Deletion and insertion are examples of a mutation. Deletion means that part of the gene has been removed. Insertion mean that DNA has been inserted in the gene. Mutations also happen when CHROMOSOMES don't separate correctly during meiosis. If mutations are INHERITED by a parent they are called hereditary mutations. Not all mutations are inherited though.

Sickle cell anemia is a type of mutated disease in which a mutated form of hemoglobin changes the red blood cells into a crescent shape that contains low oxygen.

Cystic Fibrosis is a disorder affecting the exocrine glands. It produce abnormally thick mucus and can lead to blockage and infections.

I don't think that albino people are bad for society. Although I would hate to be an albino, they don't show any danger to the society. Animals that are albinos are getting killed, because they make unusual trophies. So I think that if we took a stand we could probably prevent them from being killed. I think if we could research a little more and find out how albinos are good for society. Even though there are some cons with being albino, there is nothing wrong with albinism.
