  • Original name was Cassius clay
  • Started training at age 12
  • Joined Nation of Islam and changed his name

EDUCATION

  • He went to Louisville cantal high school but never went to college

CAREER ACOMPLISHMENTS

  • Made Olympic boxing team in 1960
  • Went on to win a gold medal

PERSONAL Accomplishments

  • Won world heavyweight championship at the age of 22
  • Beat Henry cooper in 1963
  • Knocked out Sony Liston to become the world champion

LEGACY

  • He retired and announced that he has Parkinson's disease in 1984
  • Involved in fund raising for the disease in Phoenix Arizona
  • Received presidential medal of freedom

INSPIRATION

  • Muhammad Ali inspires me because he isn't afraid of his own success... And he makes the best of everything he did despite the adversity
