For 7 weeks scientists have been watching a growing bulge on the North flank of the mountain. There was an avalanche on the mountain with a bunch of dirt, ash and dirty snow coming down fast.

There was one man who was 84 years old and refused to evacuate his lodge when everyone else evacuated there homes. His name was Harry Truman.

"Vancouver, Vancouver this is it!", those were David Jonhstons last words of his life.

Mount Saint Helens did't have much lava when it erupted. It was mostly ash and dirty snow.
