• We have made them better because we have better and stronger materials
• These help us now by giving a place to live.

200 BC

• The Moors created the astrolabe, which is an astronomical computer that solved problems relating to time and the position of the sun and the stars in the sky
• We have further advanced these devices because now we have satellites that have the information for us, and send it to us through electricity, so now we have alarm clocks and phones that tell time for us.
• These help us so we understand the sky a bit better, and we can know what time it is.

10TH CENTURY

• The Moors created the traffic lights
• We have made these better by making them turn on and off depending on the time of day
• We use traffic lights to see at night when going from one place to another

10TH CENTURY

• The Moors created public bathrooms so there is always a place for people to got when they need to go
• We have further developed these because we have made better bathroom utilities.
• We use these for getting rid of the liquids and broken down food in our system, when we aren't home.

11TH CENTURY

• They created schooling, and many of them.
• We have further developed schooling because more time has passed, so we have a longer past than they did
• These help us by giving us factual information about life.

BETWEEN 1877 AND 1963

• Garrett Morgan invented the gas masked
• We have made these better because of better resources, and we have made them to better at preventing the gas from getting in.
• These help us by preventing toxins from entering our system.

• We have made these better because they are not as big as before, and they are right above us instead of being beside us.
• We also have signals for telling us when pedestrians are able to walk
• These help us by keeping us from crashing onto each other and keeping walking citizens safe.

• The Moors had many hospitals that would help anyone who needed help
• We have made hospitals better because we have made better tools that help to make the doctors job easier.
• We use hospitals to help us heal ourselves.
