A YOUNG MOON IS WHEN YOU CAN SEE 1/4 OF THE MOON 

a waxing crescent is almost half of the moon to the right 

is half the moon to the right 

is 3\4 of the moon to the right 

is when you can see the whole moon 

is when the moon fades away to the left

is when the moon fades half way to the left

is when the moon fades 1/3 to the left 

is when you can barley see the moon to the left
