Mixture: two or more materials stirred together.

Solution: a special mixture formed when a material(s) dissolving in a liquid: it is transparent. It has two part: the solute/solid part and the solvent/liquid part can be separated by evaporation.

Dissolving:a process in which one material (solid) spreads out evenly into another material (liquid) , so that the first material seems to dissappear.

Evaporation: cause liquids to dry up; the liquid turns into gas and disperese ( spreads out evenly) into air, leaving any dissolved

Solute: the soild part of a solution.

Solvent:the liquid part of a solution.

Saturated solution: when a solute (soild) dissolves in a solvent (liquid) until no more will dissolve (no excess solid left over).

Concentrated: an amount of material (solute/solid) dissolvedin a certain amount of liquid; the higher amount of solute the higher level of concentration.

Dilute:to make a solution less concentraded usually by adding more liquid/solvent.

Fact: when a solution evaporates, the dissolved solid material is left behind (usually in crystal form).

Fact: salt (or any solute) will dissolve in water (solvent) until it reaches saturation. No more salt will dissolve once saturation reached.

Fact: as the amount of solute ( solid) in a solution increase the concentraion

Fact: when an equal amount (volumes) of two solutions- for example each solution is 100ml - are copareed on a balence

Dilute: to make a solution less concentrated usually by adding more liquid/solvent.

Chemical reaction:when two or more materials/chemicals) are mixed together and a change occurs ( a new materials is formed- gas, solid or liquid).

Precipitate: a solid materials that forms as a product of a reaction.

Reactant: when two chemicals react when they are mixted, the chemicals are called reactants.
