CLOSING DISCUSSION
WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN TO THEM AND THEIR WORLD
7.
HOW DID IT GO?
Really great, quick engagement activity to get students thinking about science topics.
Kids loved it and had fun making designs and watching the colors mix.
My favorite part was the conversations they were all having about science, and science & art.
8.
WHAT WOULD I CHANGE FOR THE FUTURE?
Will DEFINITELY use tubs for applying the powder.
Use a plastic tablecloth for the coloring table to protect from food coloring.
Have something for the students to write/work on while they’re waiting for others to finish their work.
9.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS ACTIVITY
It’s a hands on way for students to experience science
It helps to generate good conversations about what they’re doing
It could incorporate so many other standards and subject areas with it
