LOCATION AND TUITION

• The average tuition for a normal, 9 month school year was $46,704. A summer course was $14,900. This includes books and digital books and such. There is no out of state tuition. The full year food plan, with 4 meals a day, is $5,020 a year for freshmen. The cheapest freshman dorm starts at $4,105, while the most expensive ones are $4,925. 93% of undergrads live on campus, since you are requires to live on campus freshman year. Most scholarships are based on need, and are usually gifts from previous alumni, and general MIT funds. MIT actually tells you it's a bad idea to bring a car, that the buses are much better.
