The mouth of the river is the Gulf of Mexico.

  • Name came from the Anishaabe which called it "Misi Ziibi"
  • Takes 90 days for a drop of water to travel the whole length.

People would want to live here because there is lots of fresh water. It is also great for transportation. The bad thing is that it does flood when it rains hard enough or when snow is melting.
