MISSION TO MARS

WHY MARS?

• It's the most like earth
• All the other planets we aren't able to explore
• It is red, rocky, and it is like earth, but has no water
• We would explore mars to answer our questions
• We hope to learn about if it is habitable

WHY DID YOU PICK THAT DESIGN?

• I wanted a simple craft design that was still able to survive
• It needed to have rockets,satellites,cameras,etc
• It needed to be a strong, yet powerful little craft

TRIAL AND ERROR

• I had put feet,not wheels
• I had only 2 satellites
• I had a bulky camera

SECOND ATTEMPTS

• Now has wheels
• Not as bulky camera
• More than 2 satellites

FINAL DESIGN

• Now has shocks
• 2 side boosters
• One main booster
• 2 grabbing claws

PARACHUTES

• They are important to our spacecraft
• Needed to be light,but durable
• Needed to fall slowly

OUR TESTS

• We had to test the different sizes of parachutes
• Small= worst
• Medium= ok
• Big=what we need

FINAL PARACHUTES

• Giant
• Made of plastic
• Long suspension lines

• Parachutes are important
• Designing takes a long time
• Why does space have no gravity?
