Minnetonka Cave is a fascinating 9-room cave of stalactites, stalagmites and banded travertine that was originally found by grouse hunters in the early 1900's.
The cave is a home to five different species of bats. One species, the Townsend's Big-eared Bat while not on the endangered species list it is on the lists of both the State of Idaho and the Forest Service as a species of concern.
