Soybean and corn fields really impact our environment because we are a rural community where more than a third of our towns around here farm. It is used to feed livestock and raise animals also for shipping to other countries who cannot grow corn and beans.
Changes in the environment affect us because the weather plays a big role in growing corn and beans without rain and sun they cannot grow or to much could lead to the crops dying. Also if pollution keeps being let into the environment it will affect the way the crops grow.
The environment affects Minnesotans quite a bit such as, if the birth rates of animals are down the crops that are harvested and used to feed the animals may get old and not be able to used or shipped out to where they will be used. Or if the weather does not cooperate it affects farmers to stay out of the field for that day or maybe longer depending on how bad the weather is.
The most recent news I found is that corn features are starting to fall because planting is up to 6% while soybean and wheat features are starting to rise on other acres around the area.
