MIDDLE EAST

LANGUAGES

  • Language: The main languages of the Middle East are Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Berber, and Kurdish. 

GOVERNMENT

  • Government: Within the Middle East there forms of democracy and forms of our dictatorship.
  • A dictatorship is when one leader has full control of a country and government.

RELIGION

  • The main religions within the Middle East are Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

URBAN/RURAL

  • Most people live in rural areas because of the extreme poverty within the country.
  • Only richer people get to live within the cities.

FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Overall the families are about average leaning towards a larger family.
  • Within the families the father or man is head of the house meaning the women has little to no rights.

SOCIAL STUCTURE

  • The social groups that exist in the Middle East are nomads, peasants, and workers at the bottom.
  • Next are middle class, and borgeois and upper class.
  • Wealth usually sticks with the upper class as the bottom class is extremely poor.

FASHION LITERATURE ART MUSIC

  • Fashion, art, literature, and music are all cultural heavy and are very beautiful.
  • Some famous artists are Qusai and Ahmad Asery.

EDUCATION

  • The people of the Middle East are not as educated as the rest of the world.
  • Some countries receive better education, but some are too poor to afford educations.

LAND USE

  • It is mostly used as farming land because of the people live in either rural or cities
  • They need to make money by farming.

TRADING NETWORK

  • People exchange many textiles and farming food with other people.
  • Across the globe people depend on the Middle East for natural resources, mostly oil.

DIVERSITY

  • The main minority of people in the Middle East are white people, Asians, and African Americans.
  • Women are not treated equally compare to men.
  • It is a serious problem in the Middle East because women have no rights.
