Sioux is a tribe of the native Americans in the Midwest.
If a Native American broke a rule they would have to burn down their teepee and get whooped in front of everybody and have to leave the tribe for a year.

Blackfoot tribe lives in Montana which is in the mid west. Buffalo was the black foots main food. They called themselves the " Lord of the Plains". When the tribe would move they would take down their teepee and put it back up when they stopped. Horses helped the native Americans hunt the buffalo and the buffalo was a source of skin to keep them warm.

The homes Native Americans had tepees as their houses. Tepees are shaped like a tall cone and could only fit one family in it because they weren't big enough especially if they didn't have permanent settlements. They had a wooden cover for their door. Tepees can break down easily. If a family breaks a rule they have to get whooped in front of everybody and has to burn down their tepees and can't come back to the trove for a year. The tepees were very warm because of how they are made. If they had to move they can also take down their teepee and put it back up.

Grass houses are made out of dry grass and they are big and round. They can break down and is suitable for a large family.

The climate in the mid west changes a lot in the winter and summer. It can be 100 degrees in the summer and in the winter it drops down to below zero degrees. In regions all over in the mid west the daily temperatures are between the 30s & 40s. Also in Autumn and spring the temperatures are like the fifties and sixties.

The landform is very good for farming and the soil is fertile and the land is flat. Also, there is a lot of grass for the animals to eat. The mid west is between the Mississippi River and the Rocky Mountains.
