  • At age of 15 was the youngest soccer player to play for the national team.
  • At age 19 was youngest team member in history to win World Cup.
  • Won a gold medal at the 1996 & 2004 Summer Olympics.
  • Named FIFA world player in 2001 & 2002.
  • Inducted in the national hall of fame.
