Introduction
King Menes is shrouded in mystery that may be lost in the folds of history forever. He is considered by many scholars to be the first pharaoh to rule Egypt.

Who Made Up The Royal Family:
In the mystery of king Menes family. That he united upper and lower Egypt by marrying the family of a southern royal family.

Narmers family: Narmer's wife was named Niethotep. Narmer's son was named Hor-Aha. Narmer's father was named father Narmer.

Rule: King Narmer ruled through 3407 to 3346. Which that is 61 years. Narmer ruled in the city of Memphis.

THIS IS A MAP OF MEMPHIS.

Greatest accomplishment: King Narmer's greatest accomplishment was uniting the two parts of Egypt land Upper and Lower Egypt. The thing that was expanded was the population. There was a advancement in technological during this time. Pharaoh Menes of Ancient Egypt had a polytheistic religions the time.

Mysteries: Today, it still remains unclear as to whether these two names represent one or two people.

Temple sites: Menes built the city of Men-nofre, or Memphis from which the English name Egypt is derived. The original name, Hikuptah, means "home of the soul of Ptah." Menes built this city on an earlier site known as the White Wall, located in the center of the White Kingdom, or the Upper Kingdom.

Artifacts: Pottery sherds have been discovered at several sites, both from pots made in Egypt and imported to Canaan and others made in the Egyptian style out of local materials.


Tomb and mummy: Narmer's tomb is composed of two joined chambers found in the Umm el-Qa'ab region of Abydos. It is located next to the tomb of Ka, who ruled Upper Egypt just before him. There was a mummy of King Narmer.

When ruler died and how:
King Narmer died in the year of 3120 B.C. King Narmer died from a hippo.
