They were inspired from Roman architecture
all the churches contain rose windows

King Henry VI was crowned in 1431inside Notre Dame
Napoleon was made emperor in 1804 inside Notre Dame

On December 27, 537 it was opened for worship
It remained a church for 916 years but then was converted into a mosque
It was a mosques for 482 years and then on 1935 was made a museum
