WHAT IS MATTER

• It’s anything that takes up space
• Matter is made up of atoms and mass

ATOM

• Atom is the smallest unit of a chemical element

ELEMENT

• Each element is made of one kind of atom
• There’s about 120 elements

PERIODIC TABLE

• A list of all elements in the universe discovered by humans so far
• Categories and organizes elements according to there atom

MOLECULES

• Formed when 2 or more atoms join together
• These could be the Same type of atom or different

COMPOUND

• 2 different atoms are joined together
• All compounds are molecules but not all molecules are compounds

SUBSCRIPT

• tells you how much atoms or each element for that molecule

COEFFICIENT

• multiple the number of molecules you are making

PHOTOCYNTHESIS

• is the process by which plants make their own food

CELLULAR

• respiration is a process by which the cells of all living things break apart glucose to release energy
