ACUTE ANGLE

An angle that has a measure less than a right angle.less than 90

LINE

A striaght path of points that continues without end in both directions.

LINE OF SYMMETRY

An imaginary line that divides a shape into congruent parts.

LINE SYMMETRY

What a shape has if it can be folded about a line so that it's two parts match exactly.

OBTUSE ANGLE

An angle that has a measure greater than a right angle. Greater than 90 degres

RAY

A part of a line ,with one endpoint, that is straight and continues in one direction

RIGHT ANGLE

An angle that forms a square corner and has a measure of 90 degrees

STRAIGHT ANGLE

An angle in which 2 rays point in opposite directions so that they form a line

POINT

An exact location in space

LINE SEGMENT

A part of line between 2 endpoints

ANGLE

  • Is formed by 2 rays or line segments
  • That have the same endpoint.
  • The shared endpoint is called the vertex

EQUALATERAL TRIANGLE

A triangle that has three equal sides

ISOSELES TRIANGLE

A triangle that has 2 equal sides

SCALENE TRIANGLE

A triangle that has no equal sides

INTERSECTING LINES

Lines in a plane that cross at exactly one point. They form four angles

PARALLEL LINES

Lines in a plane that are always the same distance apart they never intersect.

PERPENDICULAR LINES

Lines in a plane that intersect to form four right angles

TRAPEZOID

Has one pair of parallel lines

PARALLELOGRAM

Has 2 pairs of parallel lines. Has 2 pairs of sides of equal length.

RHOMBUS

Has 2 pairs of parallel sides.Has 4 sides of equal lengh

RECTANLE

Has 2 pairs of parallel sides

SQUARE

Has 2 pairs of parallel sides , has 4 sides of equal length. Has 4 right angles

HEXAGON

6 sides and 6 lines of summetry
