My name Jenny Wong-Welch and I am the STEM Librarian at SDSU.
A short bio about me is that I grew up in San Diego. In fact, I went to Point Loma High. I received my bachelors from UCSD in Mathematics and Economics. Then I went on to get my Masters degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in Library and Information Science.
Part of my job is being the director of build IT, which I created last February. It provide me with an avenue to connect with student through teaching design and making.
One question you might have is does a librarian do. A librarian helps gather and organize information for everyone to use and build upon. As a librarian at SDSU, I am a faculty member, so I am expected to teach.
By teaching in build IT, I am able to encourage you all on information literacy, which has six basic principles.
