• MLK was born on January 15 1929
• MLK was originally named Michael
• When MLK was a kid he sang in his dad's church choir
• MLK befriended a white boy when he was a kid
• The white boy went to a different school because MLK went to an African American school

• MLK finished high school early
• MLK went to Morehouse Collage
• He wanted to be a teacher or a lawyer
• MLK's religion professor insired him to be a public speaker
• MLK soon went to the Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania

• On July 1963 MLK lead the Birmingham protest march
• On August King gave the "I have a dream" speech
• King had civil rights groups help the Blacks
• Sadly on march 28 1968 king was killed
• The goverment made a holiday in honor of MLK
