The book Airborn, by Kenneth Oppel, is about a boy’s travels on an airship. The cover somewhat reflects this, with a few discrepancies. A very subtle way that the book is being marketed is via its font. The title font is made in such a way that the “A” and “N” in Airborn look similar to wings. This alludes to the book’s mainly aerial setting. Another thing that markets the book is the words “Author of the Internationally best-selling Silverwing Trilogy.” This makes the book appeal to fans of the Silverwing trilogy. It also lets potential customers know that the author of the book is popular, indicating that his books are good. As Kenneth Oppel is a popular author, his name is prominent on the cover, written in bold, and next to the title where it will be seen.
