  • found his love for writing

TEENAGE YEARS..

  • Age 17 he went to st. louis
  • river pilot's apprentice
  • 1858 fully licensed river pilot
  • Mark Twain (safe to navigate)

  • 1861 reporter all over United State
  • 1870 married Olivia Langdon
  • 4 children
  • 1 died a baby (19) 2 in their 20s(24,26)
  • Clara died at 88 and 1 child
