Shaped the course of their life?
In 1927 Mao leads Autumn Harvest Uprising in Changsha, & In 1943 Mao becomes Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party

One of thing that made him evil?
Mao Tse-tung, who was responsible for the deaths of perhaps 70 million of his own people including the elderly and intellectuals.

Mao Zedong killed more people than Stalin & Hitler. Those who didn't want Mao Zedong in charge he had them brutally murdered and tortured.

Other things that would wrong?
Four times married, he abandoned, one way or another, all his wives and most of his many children. The three wives of his adult life seemed to have been crazy about him no matter what. His surviving children tended to go mad. For a man once famed among women's liberationists in the West, he exploited and devoured numbers of women right up to his final senile, unwashed, toothless days.

Stats on his genocide
Great Leap Forward. The program was a terrible failure, an estimated 20 to 30 million people died in the famine that followed (1958–61), and Mao withdrew temporarily from public view, & another 30-40 million where murdered due to Mao Zedong lack of leadership to,his countrymen.

The most vulnerable section of China's population, around five per cent, were those whom Mao called 'enemies of the people'. Anyone who had in previous campaigns of repression been labeled a 'black element' was given the lowest priority in the allocation of food.

How did Mao Zedong die?
Mao had been in poor health for several years and had declined visibly for at least six months prior to his death. A heavy smoker and drinker during most of his adult life, he was also overweight and had multiple lung and heart ailments during his later years. There are unconfirmed reports that he possibly had Parkinson's disease.
