3.
WHAT IS A SIMPLE MACHINE?
A SIMPLE MACHINE IS A DEVICE THAT CHANGES THE DIRECTION AND MAGNITUDE OF A FORCE.

RESULTS
My incline plane efficiency average was 266%
My movable pulley efficiency average was 161%
My third class lever efficiency average was 77%
My incline plane had the highest efficiency because I had to pull it up a steep incline plain.

7.
MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE RESULTS
My average for my mechanical advantage in the incline plane is 2.6
My mechanical advantage average in the movable pulley is 1.6
My mechanical advantage average in my third class lever was 0.59
My biggest average for mechanical advantage is the incline plane because again it's the steepest. The scale had to use the most work.

LEVER
A lever is a simple machine that makes work easier by by moving a load around using a pivot force.
Ex: light switch.

9.
PULLEY
A lever is a wheel on an axle that is designed to support movement and change of direction of a taut cable or belt
Ex: elevator

10.
WHEEL AND AXLE
The wheel and axle is a wheel attached to a smaller axle so that these two parts rotate together then a force is transferred from one to the other.
Ex: Tire
11.
INCLINE PLANE
An incline plane is a flat supporting surface tilted at an angle, with one end higher than the other, used for lifting or lowering a load.
Ex: going up a hill.
12.
SCREW
A screw is simply an inclined plane around a cylinder.
Ex: screw
13.
WEDGE
A wedge is simply a triangular tool, often made of metal, wood, stone or plastic.
Ex: axe and knife.
