PARABLE OF THE LOST SHEEP
- This quote of Luke 15: 4-6 is a parable
- The quote speaks of an onwer leaving 99 of his sheep to find one.
- When he finds his one sheep he celebrated with his family and friends
Meaning
The meaning of the quote is that there will be more celebration in heaven for one sinner that repents than there will be for 99 non-sinners who don't need to repent. God loves us all even if we sin at first then turn back to Him. It also means that the non-sinners cannot become jealous because they have always been faithful. What matters is that everyone is faithful in the end.
Prayer response
Dear God,
Help me to never become a lost sheep and to always follow your will. Keep me on the track toward salvation and toward heaven. Help those who are lost sheep find their way back to you and back to the way to heaven. Also, help the other 99 sheep guide the lost sheep back toward your love. If any other sheep get lost along the way bring them back like in the parable and help them achieve salvation.
