OBAMA'S CHILDHOOD LIFE

  • His mother, Jana Dunham, was born in Wichita, Kansas
  • Obama was never close to his father, Barack Obama Sr., whom was born in Nyonza Province, Kenya
  • Obama Sr. left his family to pursue a PhD in Harvard University at Massachusetts
  • Jana remarried; worried about her son's well-being, he was moved back to Hawaii with his grandpar-
  • ents.

ROMNEY'S CHILDHOOD LIFE

  • Mitt Romney was born in March 12, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan
  • Earned an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 1971
  • Attended Harvard and earned a law degree and a Master of Business Administration
  • Mitt and his wife Ann Romney are members of the Mormon Church
  • He is the son of former Michigan Governor George Romney

OBAMA VS. ROMNEY DEBATE

OBAMA'S PRESIDENCY

  • His advocacy work led him to run for a seat in the Illinois State Senate.
  • He campaigned on an agenda of financial reform and reinventing education and health care
  • He did all this while bringing down the national debt
  • He cut taxes for working families, small businesses and first-time home buyers.
  • For his efforts, he was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize by the Nobel Committee.

ROMNEY'S DREAM

  • After serving one term as governor, Romney seeked U.S. Presidency
  • He gave a strong performance, receiving praise from citizens and critics
  • Many argued that Romney won the election but Obama won both debates
  • He was defeated by Barack Obama, with the president receiving just over half of votes
  • Romney wished for a stronger American economy and society prior to the election

OBAMA: NOW

  • Since being re-elected America has suffered economic trouble
  • Obama has placed heavy restrictions on gun control after re-election
  • People now (kinda) jokingly tend to blame Obama for all the world's trouble.
