IS LORD OF THE FLIES FULL OF LIES?

THERE'S SOME QUESTIONABLE INFO HIDDEN IN THE BOOK.
There are two important things to notice about the island inside the book "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding.

FIRST QUESTIONS:

This question is difficult to answer, as the book makes the pigs seem so natural and native to the island. But through research I have seen that pigs and boars are not naturally island dwellers, and just appear to be through lack of swine knowledge. Boars live in rain forests and jungles alike, not on islands surrounded by water. The fact that boars and pigs aren't naturally island inhabitants brings about some other questions...

THINKING A BIT DEEPER

As we think deeper into the fact that there are no pigs that live in the southern islands where the boys' plane crashed, we can ask a few more questions about where they came from. Do you think that someone may have brought the pigs to the island? Back in the day, travelers where known to bring livestock on their ships, so when they found new land they could use them for filling the new land with different kinds of animals. But even though this may be true, why would the boys ever have any pigs on their plane? That makes no sense.

SECOND QUESTIONS:

As we have learned through our reading, the island that the boys now live on is made of pink granite. As we know, most island in the South Pacific are made of volcanic rock or other things of that nature, not something like granite (even of the pink variety). Now this brings about another question, if its impossible for the island to be made of pink granite then why did William Golding create the island out of it in the novel? In my opinion, I think he did it to show the spiritual strength of the island. It's island is obviously not just any regular island... As it reacts to each character differently. Don't quote me on it, but I think the pink granite will be a very important detail later in the novel.
