Trakai Island Castle

• Located in Trakai, Lithuania, on an island in Lake Galvė.
• The only Eastern European castle built on an island

• The language of the earliest Lithuanian writings, in the 16th and 17th centuries, is known as Old Lithuanian

Famous Desserts

• Kibinai- a small pastry filled with pork and onion
• Kugelis (Potato Pudding)-sour cream, applesauce, or crumbled bacon bits to make the dish even more filling.

• Men-greatcoats and short jackets of dark or undyed wool.
