Exposition

The intro of the book.
The Exposition is when the characters have a bit of a conflict. They also bring in the setting in the beginning of the book. Such as in the book Jack and the bean stock. It would be when Jack sold the cow, because you met Jack and there is conflict with him and his mother. There is only a little bit of conflict that goes on in the exposition.

Complications

When the problem in the story comes in to play.
The Complications is when the problem starts coming out and you can see it a little more clearly. Like in the book Wizard of Oz and the house is
spinning. The is because Dorthy is in a whole different world.

Climax

When the problem reaches its highest point in the story.
The climax is when the problem reaches its highest point and every thing is ether at stake or the main character is hurt. In Jack in the bean stock it is when the giant is coming down the bean stock because Jack stole the golden egg.

Falling Action

when the problem is being resolved.
When the problem is being figured out by the main charter. Such as when Dorthy gets in the city because of her red shoes.
The falling action is also when all the main characters are figuring a lot out.

Resolution

When all the problems have been rezolved
When all the problems have been taken care of and they are getting to the end of the book. Such as when Dorthy taps her heels together and goes home.
