- Identify the situation
- Interact with the situation

Identify
- Find exactly where the victim is located
- Check your surroundings
- Identify if victim is actively or passively drowning

Interact
- Swim to the drowning victim
- Secure yourself to the drowning victim
- Call adjacent lifeguards if necessary

Defuse
- Make sure the victim is fine and not erratic
- Get the victim to shore or the nearest deck
- If victim was passively drowning, perform CPR
