Specific Effects

  • Use wheelchair or walker, or have uneven walking
  • May need help with getting dressed, eating, writing, using the bathroom
  • Work with therapists to get stronger and improve movement

Tips for being a friend of someone with CP

  • I'm the same as you... I like to do the same stuff, I just move differently.
  • Be patient. Give me a little extra time to respond, talk, or get some place.
  • CP is not progressive.
  • If you have questions, just ask.
