Things that I learned the hard way.

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

MY RACE

THE TRUE STORY OF HOW I (SLOW BOY) FACES A MEAN RACE.

When I started the race I instantly got trampled because of my dumb brother.

I wanted to quit but my mom cheered me on and walked with me.

I crossed the finish line and they gave me a ribbon which was great.

The next day they said I won.
But mainly because I was the only ten year-old that showed up!

I Learn Love

When someone teaches me you can do anything.

I had learned that my great-grandma Alice was very ill and her daughter thought I should see her while I still could.

I wanted to, but I didn't know that I would be missing school and be traveling 4 states (Indianapolis).

I met my uncle but that is another story.

I loved the trip butt when I was going to talk to Alice I thought I would say something awesome.

I just said nothing, stunned watching Alice talk happily in the nursing home.

The next day the hospital called us and said Alice had a problem with her kidneys.

We drove straight away and that was when I learned that she liked books.
Finally, something to talk about.

After that we had to go home.

A week later they say she's dead.

Although during the funeral I learned something.

We did everything we could to see her just because of our love for her.

But when I thought that my grand-parents paid $5,000 for the funeral my heart broke.

Luckily I learned I was wrong...
eventually.

TWENTY-FOOT JUMP

Our family went to this beautiful creek area.
But we had to get there first.

I almost slipped down stream but eventually we had a picnic at our destination

Then I notice the twenty-foot dam that these teenagers were jumping on. I wanted in!

My dad took me to the dam but did not know I would do it.

My mom went a different way and didn't see so I wanted to try again.

I got up there but something told me not.
I walked away crying.

That lesson is still unknown.

The rest of these lessons you gotta' learn yourself.
