PROTECTING AND REBUILDING NIGERIAN EDUCATION

Since 2009 Boko Haram has terrorized Nigeria causing a major humanitarian crisis in the country.

The terrorist group gained global attention in 2014 when they kidnapped nearly 300 girls from a school in Chibok.

But Boko Haram's biggest impact has been felt on Nigeria's education system.

According to CNN 2000 schools have been shut down due to Boko Haram attacks. An estimated 10 million Nigerian youth are not in school many of them girls.

In addition, 600 teachers have died and 19,000 teachers have fled in fear of. Boko Haram.

Because of Nigeria's education crisis #Letemteach has been created.

The goal of #Letemteach is to rebuild as many schools as possible and to put displaced youth back in school.

STRATEGY

  • Our research shows that it takes 12500 dollars to build a school in Nigeria with your help we want to reopen 10 schools a year ($125,000 a year)
  • Supply schools with up to date technology and textbooks
  • Find bright young teachers looking for experience who have a passion for developing young minds

  • Gold- donate to rebuild a school
  • Silver- donate supplies like computers, textbooks, notebooks, pencils etc.
