Not much is known about his early life other than that he was the apprentice of Verrocchino, a goldsmith, painter, and sculptor.

It is widely accepted that he was homeschooled and never got a formal education in Greek and Latin. He was a creative genius, very curious, and a dreamer.

Leonardo was an engineer, artist, and is known for his studies in many diverse fields of science. He is most known, however, for his amazing works of art such as The Vitruvian Man, The Mona Lisa, and The Last Supper.

Leonardo was one of the first people to explain why the sky was blue, bought caged animals just to set them free, was left handed, and would put horns and wings on lizards and put them in The Vatican.

I could not find much quotes so I chose his last one... His last words were:

"I have offended God and mankind. My work did not reach the quality it should have"
