LEarning Walk Schedule

  • Meet to establish norms (5 minutes)
  • Observation #1 (15 minutes)
  • Walk & Debrief Observation #1 (5 minutes)
  • Observation #2 (15 minutes)
  • Debrief & Reflect on the Experience (15 minutes)

Each learning walk will...

  • Begin at the scheduled time in Room 128.
  • Focus on teams of 2-4 teachers
  • Observe at least two classrooms for 10-20 minutes

Walking teachers will...

  • Focus their observations on three observable lesson segments.
  • Lesson Segment #1 - Routines and Procedures
  • Lesson Segment #2 - Addressing Content
  • Lesson Segment #3 - Enacted on the spot

After the observations...

  • The learning walk group will debrief
  • Reflect about what you noticed
  • Reflect about what you wondered
  • Share a note of gratitude to the host teachers
