• She continued on reporting on the drug lords in Dublin after she recovered she reported on John Gilligan on his lavish life style and crimes.
• Gilligan attacked her and threatened to kill her son if she wrote anything else on him, she still continued to write about him soon the 26th of June 1996 she was driving in newlands cross on the outskirts of Dublin when 2 men on a motorbike pulled up beside guerin and shot her 6 times.
