Why you should help Laos

Region

  • Laos is Southeastern Asia, northeast of Thailand, west of Vietnam
  • Once the terror began, Laos refugees went to Thailand, The United States, China, and Cambodia.
  • Buddhism is the primary beliefs. They practice this every day but they call it Theravada Buddhism.

Religion and Ethnic groups

  • Laos has a few different religions.They have: Buddhist 67%, Christian 1.5%, other and unspecified 31.5%
  • Laos has a lot of ethnic groups. 55% Laos, Khmou 11%, Hmong 8%, other (over 100 minor ethnic groups) 26%

People and Society

  • Laos speak three main types of languages. Lao, French, & English
  • Laos has a literacy rate of 72.7%.

Conditions of Laos

  • Laos:The Laos refugee camp isn’t like a normal home. There is only one electrical socket. Water comes in on tricycles powered by the men. The country governing the refugee camps donated rice and vegetables, but everything else was store bought.

Laos Government

  • Laos is run by a Communist state led by Choummaly Sayasone.

Reasons to Invest to Laos

  • Laos brings in water on tricycles, only have one electric socket, and the only free meals they get are rice. Laos needs the money to fund their camps.
