LANDSLIDES:

  • They can reach over 50km/ h and can bury
  • Occur when heavy rain or rapid snow or ice melt or an overflowing crater lake.
  • Can carry or crush people, objects, and buildings.
  • Rock, earth, or debris flow on slopes due to gravity
  • Caused by rains, floods, earthquakes, and other natural causes.

NATURAL HAZARD:

  • Severe and extreme weather and climate events that occur naturally in a lot of parts of the world
  • The efforts of NMHSs to mitigate human and property losses theough improved forecast and early warnings.
  • The primary cause of any drought is deficiency of rainfall
