VALLY

  • A vally is a low area of land between two hills or mountains, typically has a stream or river running through it.
  • Lucas Vally is in California.

PLAIN

  • A large area of land with few trees.
  • Great Plains go through multiple states, such as Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, etc.

REEF

  • A ridge jagged rock, coral, or sand slightly above or below sea level.
  • There's a coral reef located in the Indian Ocean.

PLATEAU

  • an area of relatively level high ground
  • Like the Diessa Plateau in Ascion

ISLAND

  • A secluded area of land surrounded by water.
  • Bora Bora is an island

RIVER

  • a natural watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, a lake, a sea, or another river.
  • The Kansas river

LAKE

  • A lake is a body of relatively still water of considerable size
  • Lake Shawnee

MOUNTAIN

  • A mountain is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak.
  • Mount Everest

STRAIT

  • a narrow passage of water connecting two seas or two large areas of water.
  • Strait of Hormaz, in between Saudi Arabia and Iran

PENINSULA

  • a piece of land almost surrounded by water or projecting out into a body of water.
  • Florida is a peninsula

ISTHMUS

  • a narrow strip of land with sea on either side, forming a link between two larger areas of land.
  • Isthmus of Chignecto links Nova Scotia to North America and Canada.

ARCHIPELAGO

  • A group of islands
  • Hawaii

CANYON

  • a deep gorge, typically one with a river flowing through it.
  • The grand canyon

DELTA

  • a triangular tract of sediment deposited at the mouth of a river, typically where it diverges into several outlets.
  • There's a delta located in the Nile river

GULF

  • a deep inlet of the sea almost surrounded by land, with a narrow mouth.
  • The Persian gulf
