CIE Timeline

  • 2012 -2013: CIE Opens. Establishes faculty-led programs, systems, and protocols.
  • 2013-2014: CIE takes on F-1 & J-1 services. Continues to build up travel study programming.
  • 2014-2015: CIE begins establishing institutional partnerships to expand semester exchange opportunities. CIE begins to develop travel coordination strategies with IA and Admissions to connect with alumni and prospective students.
  • 2015-2016: Team International Student Outreach program is launched. Local travel programs are offered as an alternative to traditional travel programs

Travel Study Programs

Types of Travel Study Programs

  • Faculty-Led: Travel led by Otis Faculty. Duration of travel 1-6 weeks
  • Local Travel: Travel with-in SoCal
  • Mobility: Semester of study with another AICAD institution
  • Exchange: Semester of study with a non-AICAD institution
  • Field Study: Overseas internship/independent study through an Otis course offereing, or a workshop for credit or non-credit

476 Students and 49 Faculty/Staff have participated in a Travel Study Program.
