Kurt Cobain was born on February 20, 1967 at Gray's Harbor Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington.
On Cobain's fourteenth birthday, his uncle Chuck gave him a guitar, which greatly influenced his love for music.
IN 1998 THEY SETTLED ON THE BAND NAME "NIRVANA"
Before Nirvana's second album, Nevermind, Cobain met up with Courtney Love.
They started dating in 1991, and got married on February 24, in Hawaii the following year. In 1992, they also welcomed Francis Bean Cobain in August of that year.
After Love told Vanity Fair she had been using drugs while pregnant, social services had gotten involved. After a costly legal battle, Cobain and Love were able to keep custody of their daughter.
On April 5, 1994, 27-year-old Cobain committed suicide. He left a suicide note which addressed his fans, as well as his wife and young daughter.
