Krakatoa's first recorded eruption happened in 416 ad, but there is no geological evidence on the size of the eruption. The next eruption would happen in 535 than again in 1680. In 1883 there was a large eruption and one of the most violent eruptions in recorded history. Than more eruptions in 1927 that built up the island. There has been eruptions in 2009, 2010, 2011, and in 2012.
