Characteristics
The koala comes in two colors: brown and gray. They are small, fuzzy marsupials, closely related to wombats.

Koalas eat eucalyptus leaves from eucalyptus trees. They also eat berries, and other kinds of fruits.

Habitat
The koala lives in desert type areas of Australia.

The koala has strong, long claws on there hands and feet to hang on to trees. It also can eat foods that other animals cannot.
