HOW TO ADDING AND SUBTRACT FRACTIONS

  • Theres three simple steps
  • 1. Make sure the bottom #( the denominters) are the same
  • 2. Add the top # (the numerators), put the answer over the denominters
  • 3. Simplify the fraction (if needed)

HOW TO REDUCE A FRATION

  • Follow these three step
  • 1. Factor the numerator
  • 2. Factor the denominator
  • 3. Find the fraction mix that equals 1

WHAT TO DO WITH LCM

  • List the multiples of each numbers
  • Find the first common (same) value

GCF

  • The highest number that divids exactly into two or more numbers

PROPER FRACTIONS

  • A proper fraction has a top number less than its bottom number

IMPROPER FRACTIONS

  • An improper fraction has a top number larger than (or equal to) the bottom number

MIXED FRACTIONS

  • A mixed fraction is a whole number and proper fraction combined

MIXED NUMBERS TO IMPROPER FRACTIONS

  • Multuply denominator by the hole #
  • And add the numerater
