Has an exceptionally strong ruler, Ezana.

King Zoskales was the first known ruler in the 100th century.
DilNa'od was the last leader in the 940th century.
King Ezana ruled from 320-360 A.D.

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The Aksumite rulers facilitated trade by minting their own currency.
The state established its hegemony over declining Kingdom of Kush.
Regularly entered the politics of the Kingdom on the Arabian Peninsula.
Corresponding with present day Ethopia, Ancient African civilization.
Traded widely throughout the ancient world.
