  • Made the colonists pay taxes
  • Made them live with soldiers
  • Made them pay for tea
  • killed whoever went against them

  • It states that all people should be equal and be born with certain rights.
  • That would be an example of Natural Rights.
  • The king should be elected by the people instead of choosing himself.
  • That was an example of Popular Sovereignty.
  • The government and the king should be controlled by the people.

  • Natural Rights- People that are born with certain rights.
  • The Declaration of Independence states, 
  • "We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, 
  • that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unreliable Rights, that
  • among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

  • I think so Because people are born with money but some people
  • waste it on alcohol and lose their money. 
  • I would have signed it because everybody is basically equal and
  • we are mostly happy with our lives.
