  • He had three children and was married three times.
  • He had a very big influence on the roman empire.
  • When he was 16 his father died, but he stayed close with his mother.

  • He was a Roman general, statesman, consul and a notable author of Latin prose. He played a critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of Roman Empire.

Led by Gaius Cassius Longinus and Marcus Junius Brutus, they stabbed Julius Caesar to death in a location adjacent to the Theatre of Pompey on the Ides of March 15, 44 BC. Caesar was the dictator of the Roman Republic at the time, having recently been declared dictator perpetuo by the Senate.

  • After Julius was killed Octavius went on to be the first emperor. He ruled smartly and peacefully for many years.
